Join Barnswallow Books, the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, and the ACLU of Maine for an Oct. 6 conversation during Banned Books Week about the importance of free speech in writing and publishing. This event is being featured as a part of Maine Lit Fest.

Bestselling and award-winning writer Jennifer Finney Boylan will be in conversation with Zach Heiden, Director of Program and Strategy and Chief Counsel at the ACLU of Maine, and Cathleen Miller, UNE archivist and chair of the Intellectual Freedom Committee at the Maine Library Association.

The panel will be moderated by Gibson Fay-LeBlanc, Executive Director of the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.

A short Q+A will follow the talk where Boylan will sign books. Barnswallow Books will have copies of her work for sale.
