Anni and the Rainmakers to perform lawn concert at Rockland library

"They are a powerhouse female-fronted band celebrating the iconic women who shaped rock, soul, blues, and pop," said a Library news release. "From the raw emotion of Aretha Franklin and Melissa Etheridge to the attitude of Blondie, the swagger of Heart, the groove of disco divas, and modern hits from artists like Lizzo and Elle King, this dynamic four-piece delivers songs of strength, independence, heartbreak, resilience, and pure fun."
The band is Ann Brindle on vocals, Barry Brindle on vocals and guitar, Sean Oxton on bass, and Jai Higgins on drums.
"All ages are invited to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs from home and join us on the library lawn for what’s sure to be a fun evening," said the Library.
The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union Street.
