Incumbent Ann Matlack, a Democrat, was to be challenged this election cycle by Republican Karry Leparulo in the race for State House District 92. 

Leparulo, however, dropped out of the race in August leaving Matlack running unopposed. 

The district serves the areas of Criehaven Township, Cushing, Matinicus Isle, Muscle Ridge Islands Townships, South Thomaston, St. George and Thomaston. 

Matlack did not return a 2020 PenBayPilot.com candidate questionnaire, despite repeated requests for its completion. She noted, in her 2018 candidate questionnaire, has served on several boards and committees, including the St. George Recreation Committee, MSAD 50 school board, St. George Budget Committee (10 years) and Knox County Budget Committee (10 years). She also served as the Town Administrator in South Thomaston and Assistant to the City Manager of Rockland.
