ROCKPORT — If you are a writer, an artist, or a creative individual in any media, then grants, crowdfunding awards, and fully-funded residencies are available.

Do you dream of a few weeks or months in a magical location to create? Do you need funding to help your project come to fruition?

This one-night class will be Tuesday, May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Camden Hills Regional High School.

Laura Lee Perkins will help simplify the application process, examine the qualifications necessary for funding and help you move forward.

Her last class resulted in two grant awards, according to Five Towns, in a news release.

“You really don't need connections to make an opportunity a reality as long as you follow a simple, three-point outline,” said the school.

Laura Lee Perkins, of Maliseet ancestry, is a professional flutist, educator and writer. She has taught at Bowdoin, Bates, Prescott and Rio Salado Colleges.

She is also the recipient of 13 grants and 5 artist-in-residencies.

Registration is through Five Town CSD Adult and Community Education, 25 Keelson Dr., Rockport.
