100+ Women Who Care Knox County awards $4,300 to local nonprofits in 2025
100+ Women Who Care Knox County has continued its mission of collective giving, awarding a total of $4,300 to four local nonprofits through quarterly giving events held throughout the year. The group brings together local women for one-hour gatherings where members pool donations and collectively select a nonprofit to receive immediate financial support, according to 100+ Women, in a news release.
The 2025 recipients included:
Habitat for Humanity, awarded $900 in March at a gathering hosted at MRC and sponsored by Maine State Credit Union
Neighbor to Neighbor (St. George), awarded $1,100 in June at Mulligan’s at Rockland Golf Course, sponsored by The First
AIO Food & Energy Assistance, awarded $1,500 in September at Habitat ReStore, sponsored by The Uhll Group
The Landing Place, awarded $800 in December at The Riley School in Rockport, sponsored by Three Dog Screen Printing & Embroidery
“These gatherings are simple by design but powerful in outcome,” said Lauria O’Connell of Camden Hills Partners, event organizer for 100+ Women Who Care Knox County. “When women come together with a shared commitment to local impact, even modest individual gifts quickly become meaningful investments in our community.”
The group also extended special thanks to Three Little Birds Catering, which generously provided discounted catering for several events, helping ensure that more funds could be directed to nonprofit recipients.
100+ Women Who Care Knox County meets quarterly and welcomes new members interested in making a direct, local impact through collective giving.
