Quarry Hill will host Guy Mason, president of the Pen Bay Amateur Radio Club, for a free presentation on the world of ham radio, Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m., at the Anderson Inn.

Mason will introduce attendees to amateur (ham) radio—a hobby and public service that enables people to communicate locally, globally, and even with astronauts in space, all without the Internet or cell networks, according to a Quarry Hill news release. The talk will explore how ham radio builds community, supports learning, and provides essential communication during emergencies.
