CAMDEN — A mother fox and her two kits spent much of the day outside their den Monday and Tuesday, frolicking in the grass and the mulch of Carol and Charlie Gale’s yard on Cedar Street in Camden. Charlie reported that the fox family moved between their yard and their neighbor’s, the Nelsons, at times standing watch or napping on the large rocks in the yard, as the pictures attest.

Another neighbor reported she saw a cat tangle with the mother fox Wednesday morning, so residents are urged to be aware of the fox family’s presence and to consider keeping track of their pets, for the safety of both, until the fox family matures and moves on.
