BELFAST — Westly “Earl” Tibbetts, 81, of Belfast, formerly of Unity, passed away on March 9, 2017, in Belfast. He was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Jackson, the son of Albert and Nettie (Bates) Tibbetts.

He was predeceased by his parents; seven brothers; and one sister.

Earl is survived by his loving nieces, Priscilla Peabody of Thorndike and Dora Thompson of Troy; as well as many other nieces; nephews; and a sister-in-law.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Harbor Hill, as well as Beacon Hospice of Bangor, for the love and care he received.

Graveside services will be held in the spring.
