BELFAST — Susan W. Longley recently took the oath to serve as Waldo County Judge of Probate. Presiding as dedimus justice was Janine F. Laveway of Belfast.
During the brief ceremony, Longley applauded all the community heroes that appear before her in court. She also applauded all the community heroes throughout Waldo County.
Each county's probate court handles such family-related matters as guardianships for children and adults with various incapacities, as well as the administration of decedent estates, name changes and private adoptions.
Waldo County is comprised of 26 towns.
