More and more, people are turning to Craigslist to sell, buy, barter and give away myriad categories of goods and services. Following is a verbatim sampling — typos and all — of some of the posts we found in the "free" category this past week.

Many of the posts are the usual stuff - slightly broken old televisions, furniture and exercise equipment. This week, people are still giving away free pre-lit Christmas trees and fowl, but there's also some dirty alphabet tiles, rolling luggage, man's and woman's NASCAR jackets and someone offering a bevy book titles they will pay to mail. Craigslist Maine has these and more, all for free. Enjoy!

re: eggs cartons (Anywhere)
Not sure what the other person's issue is with egg cartons, but they certainly are not garbage. As a person with 22 laying hens producing 12 to 16 eggs a day, I am always happy to take a person's discarded cartons and give them a use. Why dump them in land fills when they can be reused many many times. Get a grip haters, and find a more logical war to wage. Leave egg cartons alone.

2 15" Jeep wheels / rims & AT snow tires 235/75R/15 (Scarborough/Portland)
I have two 15" Jeep wheels. They weer used for winter tires. Have been stored indoors. This bolt pattern will work with other makes as well. Tires are 235/75R/15 Pirelli Scorpion All Terrains and are pretty worn, but have some life left. One has no treat left in the middle, probably due to overinflation. The other is petter all around. Could get some use out of them as backups. Or scrap the tires and keep the rims. I have a different vehicle now and don't need them.

Free for the taking. I have a door that we removed from our basement entryway. It measures 30" x 78" and has the hinges on the right side, swings in. This door is in very good condition for its age. There are no cracks or holes. It is dark brown. It comes with the door casing and all the hardware. The door casing is in good shape and will need very little work to repair it. It would make a great door for a shed or garage or basement room. It is out in my garage and I want it gone by the weekend or it goes to the dump. Thanks for looking.
