ROCKLAND— The following cases were closed in Knox County Criminal Court from Dec. 14-22. The Unified Criminal Court is a new system for processing criminal actions and certain associated civil violation actions. It is expected to increase efficiency by eliminating the duplicative clerical workload created by the current system of case transfer between the District and Superior Court by reducing the number of court appearances required to process individual cases, according to the State of Maine Judicial Branch.

Calvin J. Allen, 19, of South Thomaston, minor transporting liquor, $200 fine, license suspended 30 days.

Daniel R. Allen, 61, of Thomaston, burning prohibited material, $100 fine.

Allen Jeremiah Ames, 25, of Thomaston, domestic violence assault, 90 days in jail with all but two days suspended, probation one year; violating condition of release, two days in jail; endangering the welfare of a child, dismissed; operating under the influence, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

Clifton B. Anderson, 66, of Maynard, Mass., operating under the influence, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days; failure to notify of motor vehicle accident, $150 fine.
