Hill n Dale Farm ‘Deck the Stalls’ competition
WARREN — At Hill n Dale Farm, riders and horse owners are competing for some serious bragging rights in their "Deck the Stalls" competition. Each owner or rider has a unique decorating touch, and the decorations range from the simple to the extreme.
The mother/daughter team of Corey and Lauren Fognier have created a gingerbread house/stall for their horse, Leo. Decorations include cardboard cutouts of the gingerbread house, colored construction paper gumdrops, lollipops and candy canes.
Shawna Scott of Warren has erected half a Christmas tree, complete with lights and decorations, to the exterior of her horse, Bay's, stall.
One owner has created a "Whoville" scene, including ornaments and candy canes; another has a "Night Before Christmas" theme, complete with poem and mice; and yet another owner has created a chimney scene with Santa disappearing down the chimney.
