Laurie Ann Moulton, obituary
ROCKLAND — Laurie Ann Moulton, 49 of Rockland, passed away April 29, 2014, unexpectedly after complications from an emergency surgery at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor after battling an illness for three years. She was born Aug. 29, 1964, to the late John Robinson and Laura Alley in Rockland.
After graduating in 1982 from the Camden school district, where Laurie had studied nursing, she ended up entering the work force at National Sea Products in Rockland. Soon after, in 1984, Laurie met her husband and best friend, Ronald Moulton of Boothbay, and they began their family together when they had the first of their three children in 1985. She also spent many years working at Mail Services as a machine supervisor. After that career came to an end, she was able to start and devote her time to her dream business as director of Crowned Royalty Pageants, along with spending more time with grandchildren, who she adored.
Laurie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always put others first and she was a wonderful friend. She will be truly missed, but never forgotten by her entire family. Her kind heart has been seen and touched by all whom new her.
Laurie is predeceased by her father, John Robinson; her mother in-law, Gwendolyn Ott; her father in-law, Francis Moulton; her sister-in-law, Lori Roscoe; and her niece, Randi Lynn Chace.
Laurie is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Moulton, who she spent her life with for 30 years and they have three wonderful children together, Scott Moulton, 28 of Rockland, Nichole Marie Copeland, 26, and her husband, Brett, of Rockland, and Shyanne Renee Moulton, 24, and her companion, Amanda Starr, of Rockland; three grandchildren, Kayley Gwendolyn Jean Copeland, Hayden Charles Nathan Copeland and Ashur Knight, all of Rockland; her brother, Scott Robinson and his wife, Jill, of Warren; and her sister, Tina Robinson of Auburn. Laurie also had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, Jessie Moulton, Ricky Chace, Casey Robinson, Sasha Labbay, Benjamin Labbay, Heaven Dow and Jayla Robinson; and two great-nieces, Nevaeh Howes and Hailey Robinson. She also leaves behind a sister in-law, Arlene Foss; and a brother in-law, Bill Roscoe.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, May 17 from noon to 4 p.m. with light food and beverages at the Rockport Masonic Center, 361 Main St. in Rockport.
