THOMASTON — Last week was Read Across America Week at Thomaston Grammar School. We had a spirit week that week to celebrate reading. Classrooms also did activities to celebrate reading.
Monday’s theme was Books Knock Our Socks Off. TGS community members wore their craziest and wackiest socks.
Tuesday ended up being a Snow Day so we were not at school.
Wednesday’s theme was Reading Brings Us Together. TGS community members had a Team Color Day where K and 1st students wore green, 2nd and 3rd students wore yellow, 4th and 5th students wore blue, and staff members wore orange.
Thursday’s theme was Books Bring Out Our Wild Side. TGS community members wore animal print of clothing with pictures of animals.
Friday’s theme was Books Spark Our Imagination. TGS community members dressed up as their favorite book characters.
It was a really fun week!
