Adam Lachman has right temperament to serve on Rockland City Council

Mon, 10/31/2022 - 11:45am

On November 8, I invite the citizens of Rockland to join me in voting Adam Lachman for the Rockland City Council.

As someone who has served as a member of the Rockland City Council, and also as a member of the city staff,  I understand the importance of the temperament of the city council and the effect they have on the ability of our city staff to work on behalf of the public in a positive and efficient manner.  Adam Lachman has the right temperament for the job.

Adam's diverse and extensive experience  makes him an ideal candidate for the Rockland City Council.  We need a councilor who will consider all sides of an issue and avoid political influence when crafting or considering new ordinances or amendments to existing ordinances.

We need our city council to support Rockland's volunteer boards and commissions, as well as  our city staff, especially our police and first responders who put their lives on the line day in and day out.  We also need a council capable of creative problem solving.  Rockland has a great diversity of enterprises making up our economic base, something we should celebrate and expand upon.  Adam Lachman has the experience as an economic development expert, to help cultivate and foster new opportunities, while he also understands the fundamental importance of our traditional economy and the absolute imperative to protect and support our working waterfront and our fisheries industries.

Most importantly, Adam Lachman is a decent, level headed person who will undoubtedly work cooperatively with his fellow councilors to ensure the people's business is done honestly, and in adherence to the Rockland city charter.

Please join me November 8 in voting for Adam Lachman for the Rockland City Council.
