Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrest Bangor woman in Rockland parking lot for drug possession

    The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested Jessica R. Higgins, 27, of Bangor, in the parking lot of Ocean State Job Lots in Rockland April 1, 2021.

    Higgins was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, in an April 2 news release.

    “Deputy Josh Lemoi initiated the investigation when he received information about the impending sale of the methamphetamine that was allegedly going to the one of the islands of Vinalhaven or North Haven,” the release said. “Further investigation by the Knox County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Maine drug Enforcement Agency and Rockland Police Department led to the arrest of Higgins. Higgins and two passengers, who were released, had traveled from Bangor to Rockland, the Sheriff’s Office said.

    That’s where Higgins was arrested at approximately 1 p.m., and subsequently transported to the Knox County Jail. Knox County 

    Deputy Tim Davis and K-9 Marek searched the vehicle where Marek allegedly indicated the alleged presence of drugs.

    “The methamphetamine and cocaine were located at the location indicated by K-9 Marek,” the release said.
