Chloe Maxmin takes Senate District 13 seat over longtime incumbent Dana Dow

Incumbent Dana Dow, a Republican, was challenged this election cycle by Democrat Chloe Maxmin for State Senate District 13.
The district serves the communities of Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Hibberts Gore, Jefferson, Louds Island, Monhegan Island Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Waldoboro, Washington, Westport Island, Whitefield, Windsor, and Wiscasset.
Maxmin, according to her PenBayPilot.com candidate questionnaire, has dedicated much of her life to improving qualify of life through the political system, including the last 15 years working for a variety of political organizations.
Dow did not return a candidate questionnaire, despite repeated requests for its submission. However, according to his campaign website, is a small business owner and former educator, and longtime advocate for hardworking families.
