LINCOLNVILLE — Carolyn Julia (Robbins) Fizer, 85, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at her home in Lincolnville. 

Born in Lincolnville on October 9, 1934, she was the daughter of Roland G. and Margaret (Lermond) Robbins and was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1952.

Carol married her beloved husband, Everett Lawrence Fizer, on November 16, 1956 in Newton, Massachusetts. Residing in Waltham, she worked as a grid winder at Raytheon in Newton at that time. They returned to Maine for several years but eventually made their home in Franklin, Massachusetts for 36 years, retiring back to Lincolnville in 1998.

Carol was an avid reader and gardener, keeping beautiful flower gardens and raising vegetables for canning. She was a member of the Tranquility Grange in Lincolnville and was known for her baked beans at the bean suppers. She enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, Jo and Bob; family camping and hiking trips; snowmobiling and bicycling with the kids and grandkids; every family get-together – holidays, birthdays, summer cookouts. Carol treasured the times spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Everett Fizer; loving mother of Michael W. Fizer and his wife RaeAnn of Blackstone, Massachusetts; Patricia M. Needham and her late husband Mark of Franklin, Massachusetts; Susan J. Haskell and her husband Mark of Warren, Maine; and her late son Peter E. Fizer of Stoughton, Massachusetts. She had nine loving grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her beloved sister, Joyce A. Collemer and her husband Robert of Franklin, Massachusetts

She predeceased by her beloved sister, Pauline A. Moody and her husband Waldo of Lincolnville.

A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Route 52, Lincolnville, on Saturday June 6 at 11 a.m.
