Thomaston Grammar recognizes true team players

THOMASTON — Several students were recognized for the attribute of Teamwork at an assembly, Wednesday, March 4, at Thomaston Grammar School.
According to TGS, Billy Martin, a former New York Yankees’ coach said, “There’s nothing greater in the world than when somebody on a team does something good, and that one player pats that somebody on the back.”
These students are that one player who pats others on the back, said TGS, in a news release. The students recognized are true team players! In many situations in the classroom or on the playground, these students are the ones who see that everyone works together as a team. They think of the group rather than themselves. They see to it that collaboration, compromise, and cooperation are keys to teamwork.
Bryanna Bailey was also presented with the Principal’s Award.
Bryanna is an ideal candidate to receive this award. She is a student who may think she flies under the radar because she so quietly and consistently does the right thing. No one needs to reminder her to make good choices because making those choices comes naturally to her. She does not fly under that radar though; we see her and we appreciate her. We appreciate how she helps to create a positive school climate and to build a feel for community that we work hard to do here at Thomaston Grammar School.
Congratulations to all the students who received awards this month!
