Lincolnville girls basketball edges Vinalhaven in playoffs

VINALHAVEN — The second-seeded Vinalhaven and third-seeded Lincolnville girls basketball teams met on the court Tuesday, Jan. 28 in Vinalhaven for a Busline League northern division semifinal contest.
The visiting Lynx collected a narrow 45-41 victory over the hosts.
Scoring for Vinalhaven were Aubri Hoose (13 points), Jordan Hoose (12), Makayla Boody (10), Lydia Wentworth (four) and Kailyn Hufsey (two).
Scoring for Lincolnville were Jaden Johnson (20 points), Roo Boetsch (nine), Angel Haynes (nine); Grace Moody (five), Natalie Bolduc (two).
Lincolnville will travel Thursday, Jan. 30 to top-seeded Hope for the Busline League northern division championship game.
