Winnie Heath Snow, obituary

ROCKPORT  —  Winnie Heath Snow, 100, formerly of Bay View Street in Camden, died on February 8, 2023 at the home of her daughter, Beth Snow in Rockport.

Born in Camden on March 30, 1922, Winnie was the daughter of Ernest and Edna (Hardy) Heath. She was a member of the Class of 1940 at Camden High School and married her sweetheart Dwight Gerald Snow on September 8, 1940.

Winnie was a resident of Bay View Street her entire life, born at 125 Bay View and then she and Dwight purchased their “forever” home at 101 Bay View Street.

She was employed at several Camden businesses throughout her life including the Smiling Cow, the Colony, and Haskell and Corthell.

Winnie was an avid gardener with a talent for making the smallest little cutting grow into a beautiful plant. Her large gardens at her Bay View Street home were admired by many. She most loved gatherings large and small with her dear friends and family and always came “dressed to the nines” with plenty of bling.

Winnie was predeceased by her husband Dwight G. Snow on April 28, 1978 and by her sisters Lucille Cram, of Lincolnville, and Bernice “Bunny” Redman, of Camden.

She is survived by her four children, Dwight F. Snow and wife Kathryn, of Lincolnville; Bernice “Bunny” Ianacone and husband, Bruce, of Clifton, Virginia; Bradford Snow, of Somerville, Maine, and Elizabeth “Beth” Snow, of Rockport; six grandchildren: Katie (Trevor) Mills, of Rockport; Kelley Gideonse, of Virginia; Garrett Ianacone, of Washington state; Sean (Amy) Ianacone, of California; Kristan (Jeremy) Whitehouse, of Gardner; and Adrienne Brown, of Rockport; and four great-grandchildren, Amelia Mills, Cole Gideonse, Isabel and Anson Ianacone, and Calvin Whitehouse.

Private interment will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
