Camden Hills 4, Medomak Valley 1… The Medomak Valley girls hosted Camden Hills friday in Waldoboro and lost 4-1 to the Windjammers.

Here are the individual results with the Medomak Valley girls listed first, in singles, Isabelle Lobley lost to Abby Blakeley 0-6, 0-6; Bailey Black lost to Katie Pratt 0-6, 1-6; and Aom Nuamsantia lost to Macy Buck 0-6, 0-6.

In doubles, Elly Baubonis and Haley Mank lost to Katherine Vannorsdall and Hannah Olsen 2-6, 6-7; and Danica Dever and Hui Kennedy beat Lila Ohlard and Eliza Carter.

Lincoln Academy 4, Oceanside 1… The Mariner girls ran into the Lincoln Academy girls Friday and fell 4-1 as the two teams seem pretty well even, the Mariners just could not put it all together and the Eagles took advantage.

"We played pretty well against Lincoln Academy on Friday, but couldn't manage to pull out the wins when we needed them," said Oceanside coach Nicholas Blais. "Lincoln Academy is very much a mirror team of us.  Their record and heal points were the same going into the match.  All the girls played well, but my second and third singles players were simply out played on consistency alone.  We simply made a few more mistakes than they did, that's all there is to it. Doubles both played extremely well.  Second doubles had a very close match, but couldn't quite pull out the sixth game of the set.  It was a recurring theme that my players would have five games in the set, but somehow manage to lose the set.  We are going to need every ounce of energy and tennis skill to get those sixth games against a strong Camden team Monday, May 20."

In doubles, Hannah Lacasse and Vieno Carter beat Izzy Zaidi and Eloise Kelly 6-1, 6-1; and Afton Hupper and Jackie Thorbjornson lost to Kara Weiske and Kate Westhaver 5-7, 5-7.

Exhibition: Lily Butler and Alayna Joyce beat Tessa Walsh and Olivia Li 8-1.

Boys Tennis
Camden Hills 3, Medomak Valley 2… The Windjammer boys squeezed past Medomak Valley Friday winning 3-2.

Here are the individual results with the Camden Hills players listed first, in singles, Marc Belley lost to Conor Dahlberg 7-6(6), 6-3; Shawn Albertson lost to Aaron Smeltzer 6-3, 6-4; and James Annis beat Ezra Hinkly 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles, Peter Vannorsdall and Alex Forcillo beat Devin Field and Gabe Cooley  6-1, 6-0; and Medomak second doubles forfeited.

Camden Hills goes to 7-4 on the season and will face off against Oceanside in a very important heal point match up for both teams. Medomak Valley falls to 0-11 with the loss.
