Waldoboro Police beat: OUI, slashed tire
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 128 calls for service from Sept. 19-24. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sept. 19
Michael Prescott, 21, of Washington, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for speed.
Stephen Parece, 31, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine on a warrant.
Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that someone slashed one of his tires.
Sept. 20
Devin Davis, 30, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.
Sept. 21
Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident on Jefferson Street at 6:31 p.m. Robin Elms, 61, of Camden, was driving a 2016 Jeep utility vehicle. Elms pulled into the driveway of Norman and Sandra Whitehill. Elms stated she was going to back out and reverse direction. The operator of this vehicle still had vehicle in forward gear and pulled forward instead of backing up, panicked and accelerated instead of braking, striking residential garage, and causing damage. No injuries were reported.
Sept. 22
Roland Sherman, 44, of Dresden, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.
Sept. 23
Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report from a citizen that someone spray painted the side of his truck.
Joseph Tynan, 49, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer John Lash for operating under the influence.
Sept. 24
Violet Stanley, 49, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating under the influence.
Larry Wellman, 39, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hessletine for operating after suspension and a violation of conditional release.
