Waldoboro Police beat: Bullets shot at window, stolen dirt bike
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 117 calls for service from April 4-10. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
April 4
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen regarding the theft of a 2003 Honda dirt bike valued at $1000.
Officer John Lash is investigating a report from a citizen regarding the theft of medication valued at $100.
April 5
Lash is investigating a report from a citizen that someone shot three bullets into her window.
April 6
Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 8:20 a.m. Victor Casey, 72, of Ashland, was driving a 2013 Ford sedan. Kay Fischer, 61, of Northport, was driving a 1995 Mercedes Benz sedan. Casey was traveling westbound, slowing down in traffic. He was the last vehicle in a row of four stopping behind a school bus. Fischer was traveling westbound following the roadway, following too close and did not stop in time when she saw the brake lights come on in Fischer’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen of subjects trespassing on his property.
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen that she is being harassed.
Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen that someone broke into one of his buildings.
Bartunek investigated a report from a citizen that he is being harassed. The subject was located and warned not to have contact with the victim.
