Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: Drugs, car fire, domestic violence

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Feb. 8-18. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Feb. 4 (late entry)

    Emily E. Secotte, 18, of Northport, was issued summonses for unlawful possession of schedule X drugs and illegal transportation of liquor by a minor.

    Feb. 8

    Kristol M. Bean, 35, of Belfast, was issued a summons for operating after suspension.

    Feb. 11

    Gavin Cross, 32, of Morrill, was issued a summons for failure to provide proof of insurance.

    Feb. 12

    Steven J. Tartaglia, 38, of Penobscot, was issued a summons for failure to report an accident by the quickest means.

    Joseph B. Collins, 40, of Freedom, was issued a summons for violating conditions of release.

    Deputy Jordan Tozier responded to a car versus deer accident on North Palermo Road in Palermo. The driver was unable to avoid a deer that entered the roadway. The vehicle sustained functional damage. The driver was uninjured.

    Deputy Daniel Thompson responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident on Stream Road in Winterport where the operator was unable to avoid a dog that entered the roadway. The vehicle was towed. The driver was uninjured.

    Deputy Jordan Tozier responded to the scene of a car fire on Route 131, near Walker Road in Searsmont. The vehicle, which was hauling a trailer, reportedly overheated, causing transmission fluid to spray the engine, which then caused the engine compartment to catch fire. The overheating was the result of the operator attempting to tow the trailer while also carrying four passengers, a weight the car was incapable of towing. The vehicle was towed. There were no injuries.

    Feb. 14

    Broch Bissonette, 32, of Prospect, was arrested for violating a protective order.

    Feb. 15

    Jill Arktop, 37, of Searsmont, was arrested for violating conditions of release.

    Brittany Heath, 21, of Swanville, was arrested for unlawful possession of oxycodone and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug.

    Feb. 16

    David A. Walker, 39, of Montville, was arrested for domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing and obstructing the report of a crime.

    John C. Travers, 61, of Unity, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice.

    Daymon Dodge, 20, of Troy, was issued summonses for possession of a useable amount of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    Feb. 17

    Tiffany Cobb, 30, of Brooks, was arrested for failure to appear.

    Nathan Z. Chauvin, 24, of Unity, was issued a summons for failure to produce a license.

    Feb. 18

    Jarrod L. Curry, 34, of Belmont, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation.
