Vote for Alison McKellar for Camden Select Board June 13

Tue, 06/06/2023 - 6:30pm

I remember the “origin story” of Alison McKellar’s political career, when her zeal to improve solid waste handling and recycling on the Midcoast propelled her to a seat on the Camden Select Board! Thankfully, Alison continues to bring that same level of enthusiasm and attention to detail to her work on the Board.

Like many Camden residents, I’ve enjoyed discussing our town’s progress and promise with Alison when our paths have crossed; including roadside trash pickup day, at the Harbor Road public access point, during Megunticook Watershed public forums, and in (socially distanced) community conversation circles during the pandemic lockdown.

While I don’t always agree with Alison, I find her to be open minded, data-driven, and willing to listen to opposing points of view. I have met few people who share Alison’s passion for Camden!

As an Air Force veteran, I value Alison’s integrity, leadership style, and commitment to all Camden residents.

As the former owner of a chemical manufacturing company, I am thankful that Alison supports both business and workforce interests. During her service on the Select Board, Alison has weathered inappropriate personal attacks with dignity and remains a role model for future generations of Camden’s public servants.

Please vote for Alison McKellar for Select Board on Tuesday, June 13!
