Vose’s Armchair Adventures travel to Italy with Tim and Laurie Warden, Jan. 3

    UNION — Vose Library patrons and friends are invited to the Armchair Adventure to Italy, Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at 7 p.m., at Vose Library.

    Come along on a three month journey through the beautiful, diverse country of Italy with Tim and Laurie Warden. Enjoy the sights of ancient Pompeii, the beauty of the Amalfi coast, Greek temples of Paestum and the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, Sicily.

    Further north, it’s on to the canals of Venice, the terraced towns of the Cinque Terre on the west coast.

    Next stop is Tuscany; from Lucca, to Florence, to the beautiful Val D’Orcia and the surrounding towns of Pienza, Sienna and Montepuliciano, the area is truly amazing, said Vose Library, in a news release.

    Next stop is Elba Island, where Napoleon was exiled in 1814.

    Finally attendees will see the hilltop Monte Cassino, reopened in 2000 after being destroyed during World War II.
