UPDATED: Schooners, Riverhawks split seventh grade basketball

WALDOBORO — The Medomak and Camden-Rockport seventh grade basketball teams met on the court Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Waldoboro. 

Girls: Camden-Rockport 40, Medomak 23

Camden-Rockport held scoring advantages of 13-2, 21-8 and 29-17. 

Scoring for Medomak were Paige Gerlack (three points), Rachel Barbour (eight), Olivia McMurrin (four), Grace Havener (two) and Molly Emerson (four). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Leia Tawbinger (two points), Maddie Cronkite (11), Lely Johnson (two), Rela Haslany (two), Olivia Smith (two), Hannah Stowe (four) and Maya Stone (17). 

Boys: Medomak 47, Camden-Rockport 42

Medomak held a slim 10-9 advantage after the first quarter before Camden-Rockport possessed a 21-15 lead at halftime and a narrow 31-30 advantage after the third quarter. 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Dom Domarecki (17 points), Braden Beveridge (13), Brandon Nelson (five), Christian McCafferty (two), Zachary Mason (two), Jack Thornell (two) and Phineas Baroody (one). 

Scoring for Medomak were Liam Feeley (nine points), Kollin Donlin (nine), Landon Morrison (eight), Landon Starr (eight), Clark Elwell (six), Joe Wilcox (five) and Andrew Flanders (two).
