HOPE — Tina Merrifield passed away in the early morning hours of Friday January 22 after a short illness. She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband of 40 years, Larry Merrifield, who passed away in 2019.

She is survived by her son, Robert; her father, Wilbur Jacobs; mother-in-law Alice Boody; her siblings, Hank and his wife Tammy; Rose and her husband Ron; Scott and his wife Susan, Deb and her husband Paul.

She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law Fred, Kenney, Craig and his wife Ruth, and Randy and his wife Claudia. She also has many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Tina was a very caring person, for over 40 years she worked in healthcare, caring for more people and families than anyone could count. She also worked hard for her family, working as many extra hours as possible. For
several years she volunteered to work every Christmas day to help her family get by. She cared deeply for all of her family, and sacrificed so they could have the necessities.

She hated snow and cold weather which is why she looked forward to spring and summer so much. She loved to garden and always had what seemed to be hundreds of plants inside and outside of her home. Her love of
flowers eventually became a passion that was shared by her husband as well. Together they spent the last 15 years clearing the land around their home in order to create a ½ acre of assorted flowers, shrubs and trees that
they named “The Park.” They would spend hours in the summers after work and every weekend in their Park enjoying their time together.

Tina’s son, said, he felt truly fortunate to have spent as much time with his mother as he did, especially over these last two years. She was always there and would do whatever she could to try and make sure that her family was well taken care of.

She was certainly loved by her son, Rob, but also by her large family and many, many friends and she will truly be missed by us all. Rob will always remember her for all that she gave him throughout his lifetime, the love, nurturing, respect for himself and others, understanding and what it meant to be emotionally strong. He does not want to be away from her, but is happy that she is now at peace. He knows that she is surrounded with loved ones and will still be watching over him. “Love you Mum.”

A gathering of love and remembrance will be announced at a later date. To share a memory or condolence with Tina’s family, please visit their Book of Memories at www.bchfh.com.
