Thank you, PBP, for your editorial on the No Kings Rally in Rockland. There is much there of interest. I was at the one in Belfast.

My very serious concern about all this is that most of those attending these rallies seem to believe that the current situation is because of Republicans and specifically MAGA supporters.

It is not.

Many, if not most, Democrats and Independents who voted for Trump were promised that their vote would get rid of the Deep State, reduce taxes on middle and lower classes and stop the constant wars, occupations and regime changes  the U.S. has recently waged.  

What is not recognized is that both Democrat and Republican administrations are complicit in those ongoing policies.

The names and the rhetoric changes but the policies do not. Politicians who start out with good intentions are blackmailed, threatened, and/or bribed to continue policies which create vast wealth and power for individuals and corporations which control the USA and governments around the world. 

Until people understand that Divide and Conquer is and has been intentionally and effectively used for millennia to keep the majority from recognizing the real culprits behind human suffering, we will continue to be manipulated and used to create and maintain our own prison.  

It is time for people of all political persuasions to unite to oppose the system itself.
