He worked for the Rockland Cemetery Association for 20 years digging graves and maintaining Achorn and Sea View Cemetery. Terry carried on the family tradition of civil service like his grandfather, father, and brothers. He served for over 30 years on the Rockland Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and fire police.

Terry’s greatest accomplishments were with his immediate family. Terry met his future wife and love of his life, Cindy, as teenagers in 1972. They married on September 25, 1976, and raised their five children.
Terry enjoyed spending time tinkering around the house, always finding projects to work on. He enjoyed woodworking and never refused a project if someone asked him to make or refurbish an item. He loved antiquing and going to flea markets. Terry loved the community he grew up in and was an avid collector of Rockland memorabilia. He would talk Rockland history with most people he encountered throughout his life.
Terry enjoyed spending time with his Siamese cats Smokey and Millie before they crossed over Rainbow Bridge. Recently, he enjoyed spending time with the family’s new fur babies, Violet and Puddle.
He was extremely proud of his three daughters and two sons he had with his wife, Cindy. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was so proud of his grandson, Connor, for choosing to serve in the United States Air Force. His granddaughter, Jasmine Colson, was the apple of his eye. His family is his legacy.
