'Teamwork makes the Dreamwork' at Camden Fire and Rescue
We're incredibly grateful for the teamwork of the sincerely authentic people who provide Fire & EMS for the Town of Camden, Maine. Typically, our remarks have been tempered to "Job Well Done!"
However, these fine people deserve more recognition and respect than those three words. They have been delivering high-quality EMS in the public/private partnership with North East Mobile Health Services for 16 months now. They have only been offering emergency medical services for a few, short years — specifically since 2023. The development of their skills has been through teamwork, shared experiences and forming relationships with North East Mobile Health’s providers. Their success rate in achieving ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation) while providing CPR over the last 10 months is statistically off the charts. Part of that success rate can be attributed to the lower response times which came about when ambulances moved into the Camden Public Safety building in the summer of 2025. Another part is the hard work and effort of our compassionate, empathetic people.
The people are to be commended for the culture that exists within the department. The level of positive, enthusiastic energy they bring to work every day is infectious. They are enthusiastic and eager to be involved with anything happening in Camden. They are genuinely skilled and passionate about their work. The combination of community-minded and professionally excellent is inspiring to witness.
It's human nature to speculate about what the future will bring. We can confidently say the future of Fire & EMS is looking bright in Camden. Its future is in well-qualified, competent hands of upcoming generations.
We are proud of the work our Fire & EMS professionals deliver because of the widespread community support we receive. It's a team effort. As Brandon Graffam repeatedly says, "Teamwork makes the Dreamwork."
We're genuinely proud of our people and the service they regularly provide to not just Camden, but Hope and Lincolnville, as well.
