Stephen Coopshaw, obituary

Stephen Coopshaw, age 34 of Blissfield, Michigan and Knox, Maine passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital with his wife at his side.

He was born on July 6, 1986, in Adrian, the son of Ronald D. and Karen S. Coopshaw.

Stephen was a graduate of Blissfield High School, class of 2004. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he met his wife, Corinne Kuhn, and they were married in Ventura County, California on July 23, 2008. 

Stephen was a devoted father and husband, he enjoyed spending time with his family fishing at the lake. He enjoyed building and racing RC cars. Stephen and Corinne enjoyed sitting and listening to thunderstorms as they rolled through. He enjoyed his job as a supervisor at Mathews Bros. Inc. where he was a Paint Supervisor. Stephen liked to paint anything, cars, trucks or motorcycles. He also liked to ride his motorcycle with friends.

Stephen will be remembered as a creative person who had a huge heart, he really would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. 
 
In addition to his wife, Corinne, and his mom, Karen, Stephen is survived by his three children, Casen, Lane, and Slate Coopshaw; one brother, Jeffery and his wife Angela Coopshaw; loving big sis, Andrea and her husband Jordan Hall; father and mother-in-law, Clayton and Jennifer Kuhn; sister-in-law, Maxine and Kenneth Hynes; brother-in-law, James Kuhn; nieces and nephews, Kaileigh, Kylen, and Kamryn Coopshaw, Reese, Sawyer, and Tanner Hall, Lunetta Hynes, Myriah, Shawn and Aiden Kuhn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; sister, Christine Coopshaw; and two nieces, Aubree and Jaelynn Hall.
 
Visitation for Stephen will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from Noon until 3 p.m., and from 4 - 8 p.m., at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield.
