State to continue hearings on Central Maine Power's proposed connect project in May

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection and Land Use Planning Commission held its initial hearing April 1-5, in Farmington, on the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC). This hearing will be continued into May and will take place May 9.
The hearing will be devoted to receiving evidence from the applicant and those parties granted intervenor status. Members of the public may attend, but not participate in, the May 9 hearing.
The hearing will be conducted at the Cross Insurance Arena, 515 Main Street, in Bangor.
