Ruth G. Leach, obituary
CAMDEN — Ruth Grey Leach, 89, of Camden, died Sept. 27, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Camden July 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Albert and Florence (Farris) Grey.
She was a 1942 graduate of Camden High School and married Raymond K. Leach in Providence, R.I., May 25, 1944. Ruth had been employed as a supervisor at Tibbetts Industries in Camden for 23 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Camden.
For the past 10 years, Ruth had resided at the Megunticook House, where she enjoyed playing Uno, beano and playing cards with her many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, who died June 15, 2003. Surviving are her four children, Sharon Yackley and her husband, Gary, of Casco, Jeffrey Leach and his wife, Jackie, of Whitefield, Becky Hughes and her husband, Ernest, of Dunnellon, Fla., and Sydney Leach and his wife, Nancy, of Camden; nine grandchildren, Scott A. Pottle, Susan Turner, Heather Pottle, J. Steven Leach, Jennifer Coston, Melissa L. Elliott, Stephanie A. Wood, Amanda J. Leach, and Jessica J. Leach; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret Emery of Rockland; and a brother-in-law, Arnold Leach of Buckfield.
A celebration of life was held Oct. 2 at Megunticook House in Camden. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice House, 170 Pleasant St., Rockland, ME 04843.
