Patricia C. Quimby, obituary

WARREN — Patricia Claire Quimby, 86, of Warren, died on June 30, 2020 at the Sussman House in Rockport.

Born in Islesboro on April 21, 1934, she was the daughter of Fred Otis and Clara Viola (Small) Dodge. She attended schools in Islesboro and Lincolnville. On July 23, 1955, Patricia married Charles S. Quimby.

Her employment included the Beach Inn in Lincolnville Beach during the summer months and also the Islesboro Inn. Pat also enjoyed doing caregiving to the older residents of the island. In her younger years, she enjoyed conversations on the CB and her handle was “Sweet Pea.” She was artistic with crafts and liked making wreathes, doing pottery, working in her flower garden and enjoyed dancing.

Predeceased by sisters, Rose, Violet, Jacqueline, Rebecca, Shirley; brothers, Hugh, Fredrick, Vernon, and a grandson, Stephen Turnbull; Pat is survived by her husband, Charles S. Quimby; daughters, Monalisa Canfield and her husband, Tim, all of Warren, Shirley Quimby of Waldoboro; son, Charles Quimby and his wife, Tex-Ann, of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren Cade, Peter and Jesse Quimby of Texas, Zachary Cardilli of Fargo, North Dakota, Michael Canfield of Rockport, and Jackie Lettney of Waldoboro; two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

We love you Mom, now God sent you home. Rest easy to the best Mommie in the world.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 10 a.m., at Maple Grove Cemetery in Islesboro.
