    Dear OHTM Community,

In accordance with public health recommendations, the Owls Head Transportation Museum will be closed to the public and for volunteer activities from March 16 through March 29 to help mitigate the rapid transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The decision to close our doors for two weeks is unprecedented, and is not one that has been made lightly; however, nothing is more important to our organization than the safety of visitors, members, volunteers and staff.

We acknowledge the impact that closures such as this will have during the coming weeks, and appreciate your understanding as we navigate a collective response that protects our regional and statewide communities.

All active memberships and sponsorships will be extended by four weeks, and we will offer the utmost flexibility to reschedule facility rentals and tours when we reopen to the public on March 30. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops, and will provide updates as they become available.

    Respectfully yours,

    Kevin Bedford
    Executive Director
