ROBINSON ROCK — Photographer Peter Ralston and Wingman Richard Podolsky motored out to Robinson Rock July 21, which lies between Rockport and North Haven, to chronicle Comet Neowise, on its historic track past Planet Earth, Human Calendar Year 2020.
This photo was taken atop Robinson Rock at 10:24 p.m., July 21.
“The top of Robinson Rock is 3/4 the size of a ping-pong table and covered in bird [guano],” said Ralston. “The sound track was the bay lapping around the base of the rock, the RO bell tolling not far away in the dark, and an occasional seabird calling.
“Altogether sublime….”
