The Maine Lobster Festival donated $1,000 to Oceanside Project Graduation and $750 to the Coastal Children's Museum at its recent Board of Directors meeting.

The $1,000 donation to Oceanside High School's Project Graduation will help the program give graduating seniors an overnight safe space to celebrate after graduation at the Rockport YMCA. The entire night is filled with fun activities, food, entertainment and prizes. Accepting the donation on behalf of the senior class was Duncan Oakes-Nelson, Austin Chilles, Jacob Carroll, Collin Landry and Haley Black.

The $750 donation to Coastal Children's Museum will be used for the Calico Cathy lobster tank chiller and educational video setup. The Museum, located in Rockland, Maine, provides children and families the opportunity to learn through play about nature and the diversity of Maine's Midcoast. Accepting the donation was Museum Manager Emily Badger and President Gayle Bedigian.
