Oceanside 8th girls basketball tops Medomak in semifinals

THOMASTON — The Oceanside and Medomak eighth grade girls basketball teams took to the hardwood Thursday, Jan. 23 in Thomaston for a Busline League semifinal contest.
Oceanside held quarterly leads of 13-11, 26-22 and 30-28 en route to a 42-39 victory.
Scoring for Oceanside were C. Lamb (two points), S. Vose (12), N. Hitz (three), J. Barnard (three), S. Daggett (18) and G. Webber (four).
Scoring for Medomak were K. Blake (one point), K. Kurr (three), E. Luce (nine), S. Nelson (eight), O. Pelkley (13) and E. Stelzer (five).
With the win, Oceanside advances to the championship game Saturday, Jan. 25 against Troy Howard at 1 p.m. at Oceanside High School in Rockland.
