THOMASTON — The Oceanside eighth grade girls basketball team hosted Lincolnville in Thomaston on Thursday, Jan. 2 in a showdown that pitted the host Mariners against a Lynx squad featuring players in sixth through eighth grades. 

Oceanside maintained quarterly advantages of 11-2, 21-4 and 31-12 en route to a 51-17 victory. 

Scoring for Oceanside were C. Lamb (six points), M. Fogg (three), S. Vose (five), J. Barnard (two), A. Marves (two), S. Daggett (13), H. Erickson (10), H. Davis (two) and G. Webber (eight). 

Scoring for Lincolnville were Jaden Johnson (seven points), Roo Boetsch (four), Angel Haynes (two) and Maren Johnson (four). 

The next game for Lincolnville will be Monday, Jan. 6 on the road against Appleton. 

The next for Oceanside will be Monday, Jan. 6 at home against Medomak.
