Oceanside 8th boys basketball takes down Lincolnville

THOMASTON — The Oceanside eighth grade boys basketball team hosted Lincolnville in Thomaston on Thursday, Jan. 2 in a showdown that pitted the host Mariners against a Lynx squad featuring players in sixth through eighth grades. 

Oceanside possessed quarterly advantages of 23-8, 41-12 and 53-14 en route to a 70-23 victory. 

Scoring for Lincolnville were Thomas Leadbetter (seven points), Bryce Curtis (four), Preston Rossiter (three), Avery Luft (two), Hayden Davis (two), Kaden Wood (two) and Sage Burgess (two).

Scoring for Oceanside were Cohen (20 points), Tripp (nine), Robbins (eight), Carter (six), Bell (six), McCallister (four), Robishaw (four), McClellan (two), Monroe (two), Shook (two), Thompson (two), Mills (one) and Polanel (one). First names were not available. 

The next game for Lincolnville will be Monday, Jan. 6 on the road against Appleton. 

The next for Oceanside will be Monday, Jan. 6 at home against Medomak.
