ROCKLAND — The top-seeded Oceanside and third-seeded Medomak seventh grade boys basketball teams met on the court Saturday, Jan. 25 at Oceanside High School in Rockland for a Busline League championship showdown.
Oceanside maintained quarterly advantages of 21-11, 35-25 and 58-33 en route to a 77-44 victory.
Scoring for Medomak were Kristian Schumann (11 points), Jack Martin (eight), Gabe Lash (seven), Carrick Lally (six), Vishal Mellor (four), Porter Gahagan (four), Noah Tardiff (three), Liam Winchenbach (two) and Aiden Abbotoni (one).
Scoring for Oceanside were Zach Woodman (11 points), Rachean Dotson (11), Zeb Foster (10), Brady Proctor (10), Dom Frisone (eight), Chase Munroe, (six), Jake Watkinson (five), Dom Vose (four), Robert Blair (four), Quinton Kruger (two) and Ethan Bicaj (two).
“Medomak fought hard in the second half but couldn't overcome the offensive output the Mariners brought,” said Medomak coach Pat Delahanty.
