No one better suited to represent District 43 in Maine Legislature than Ann Matlack

Mon, 10/24/2022 - 7:45pm

Here are a few of the many reasons for a vote to return Ann Matlack to the Maine House of Representatives from District 43, Cushing, Owls Head, S. Thomaston, St. George and Thomaston.

  1. Ann Matlack has had a passion for government and prepared herself for the job nearly all of her adult life.  She obtained her master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Southern Maine and since then has participated in community life at all levels such as the local school board, the St George Budget Committee, positions with the City of Rockland and South Thomaston as well as countless other volunteer and appointed activities. During her current term as a Maine legislator she has chaired the State and Local Government Committee and is a member of the Taxation Committee.
  2. Ann Matlack always does extensive preparation on all aspects of the questions put in front of her.  Whether they are housing questions, federal regulation impacting Maine’s fishing industry or the PFAS chemical problem, Ann can be counted on to research both sides of controversial issues in order to understand their complexities.. She has a wonderful capability to explain those complexities and is always dedicated to mediating disputes in order to arrive at resolution.
  3. Ann is honest and always ready to listen to her constituents and fellow legislators without preconceived opinions. . . AND she knows how to follow through and achieve results.

I respect her and cannot imagine anyone better suited to represent our district in the legislature.
