This year, racing legend Ricky Craven will join the fleet of Egg Riders to support Pine Tree Camp and its mission to serve Maine people with disabilities.
The Egg Ride is the highlight of the four day Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in Weekend. Riders stuff raw eggs down their snowmobile suits before hitting the trail. Each egg represents a $50 pledge by supporters who want to see their favorite rider get covered in the most eggs…and raise the most money. This year’s roster of Celebrity Egg Riders includes: NASCAR’s Ricky Craven, Jedi of TV’s “Maine Cabin Masters,” “Survivor” winner Bob Crowley and more.
The Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in Weekend is Pine Tree Camp’s largest fundraiser of the year and one hundred percent of proceeds support the camp’s open door policy which provides full tuition assistance for kids and adults with disabilities to attend this fully accessible, barrier-free summer camp on North Pond.
The 53rd annual Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in Weekend runs Thursday, January 29 through Sunday, February 1. The weekend begins with a spaghetti supper, WABI-TV5 telethon, a charity auction, and, on the final day, a radar run hosted by the Penobscot Snowmobile Club.
