Michael F. Brady, obituary

UNION — Michael Foster Brady, died peacefully in his sleep at home in Union, on February 18, 2021 following a 2 year battle with cancer. He was born February 19, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York.

Mike grew up and attended schools in Brooklyn, New York. He worked as an oil burner serviceman for Madison Fuel Oil Company in Brooklyn until he retired in 1997.

In 1962, Mike met Rosalie Mormile and they were married September 21, 1963. Mike enjoyed sailing, running, and cycling. For many years he owned and had an interest in Land Rovers, and it was while on a Land Rover rally in Maine with Rosalie in 1996 that he first discovered the beauty of the state.

Mike and Rosalie moved to Maine in 1997, settling into their 17- acre home on the Butler Road in Union. Here Mike cultivated a large garden and planted grapes, raspberries, and fruit trees. He worked on the home and outbuildings, adding his own decorative touches, loving making their home and the land beautiful. It was in Union that Mike and Rosalie were happiest, contented with the life, family, and friends they made there.

Mike is survived by his wife, Rosalie; son, Kevin; daughter-in-law, Elke; much loved granddaughter, Anna Maria; and a loving and loved assortment of friends and family.
