ROCKLAND — Meredith Anderson, 67, died unexpectedly November 29, 2021, at her home in Rockland.

She was born February 12, 1954, in San Marcos, Texas to William Sandblom and E. Hope Ludy Sandblom. She grew up in Friendship, and graduated from MVHS, Class of 1972. She married and raised three sons.

For the past 20 years Meredith was employed at Walmart in Thomaston. Always smiling and polite to her customers, she made many friends over the years. People recognized her wherever she went, and always made a point to say hello.

She loved family picnics and it was her job to bring the devilled eggs. A trip to Hollywood Slots or a long truck ride with her good friend Richard Simmons was always special to her.

Her children and grandchildren were the greatest joy in her life. She loved cooking their favorite dishes and cherished the time spent with them. Meredith's kind and generous nature and wonderful sense of humor will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Meredith was predeceased by her parents; brothers William and Timothy Sandblom; and sister Lynn Sandblom.

She is survived by her three sons, Harold Anderson and his wife Jody and their daughter Isabella, Andrew Anderson and his son Nick and daughters Arianna and Cadance, Jamie Anderson and his daughter Autumn; sisters Pam Lutte and Hope Hilton; brothers Richard, John and David Sandblom.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 12 p.m., in the Harbor Cemetery in Friendship.
