ROCKPORT — Our sweet Bubba is a very affectionate cat who would love to have a home. Yes, he has soft blankets to sleep on here at the shelter, and he's delighted when people come to visit, but to him — and to us — it's not nearly the same as a fur-ever home. Bubba, who is about 1-1/2 years old, neutered and up to date on his vaccines, is fine with other felines and will make a great family cat. Help make his day and all the rest of his days.

Beautiful Kiki , who is as sweet and gentle as she is pretty, loves to play and then chill out with cat naps. Kiki, who is 7 years old, hasn't lived with kids before, but as long as they are nice to her, she will be nice to them. She'll make a wonderful addition to any household—and by the way, that's you she's looking at.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 18, because you are invited to our kitten shower, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center shelter at146 Camden St. in Rockport. We're looking for donations of Purina Kitten Chow, KMR milk replacement, bottles, baby blankets, cat toys and cash donations. You can also learn how you can be one of our foster parents and help take care of a litter of kittens.

It really is getting warmer out, and our dogs would love to be going out for walks with your help. We have beagles who just want to follow their nose to adventure, and we have an older guy who's happy just to get out and walk. Everyone needs exercise after such a long and seemingly endless winter, so stop by and let a dog take you for a walk.

We need: trash bags and paper towels.
