Marilyn L. (Annis) Chase, born March 17, 1932, to Merl B and Alice (Cook) Annis, passed away on June 21, 2020. She was a proud Belfastinian throughout her life and constantly talked about her days of driving taxi and school bus.

Marilyn’s children and grandchildren were her heartbeat. She was proud of her son’s military service, and her sons who drive truck. Her favorite past-time was drinking tea with her siblings and playing Beano with her sisters. She would give to anyone in need, everything she possibly could – at times, even going without herself.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn is predeceased by siblings, Bernice Jones, Muriel Taylor, Helene Phinney, Mereta Littlefield; her spouse, Reggie Patterson; son Alvin B. Chase; and grandchildren Blaire Horton-Delano and Lindsey Loveless.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Roland E. Chase Jr and wife Sharon of Perry, Florida, Keith E. Chase of Stockton Springs, Maine, Ginger L. Heise and husband William of Perry, Florida, Christopher C. Chase and fiancé Sally of Stockton Springs, Maine, Melanie R. Woods and husband George of Manchester, New Hampshire, Timothy M. Chase and wife Letitia of Ellsworth, Maine; brothers and sisters Vivian Smart, Merl Annis, both of Prospect, Leon Annis and wife Margene of Swanville; Patricia Reed and husband Theodore of Belfast, Joyce Feero of Old Town, Maine; her grandchildren Angela, Rebecca, Scott, Jennifer, Jesse, Nicholas, Kristi, Jessica, Michael, Christin, Tim and David; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dog, Izzy.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 26, 2020, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue in Belfast. Please be mindful that current State and CDC restrictions limit the number of people allowed inside to 50 at one time, so you may have to wait before being able to enter the funeral home.
