SEARSPORT — Marilyn J. Littlefield, 79 of Searsport, Maine passed away peacefully on February 23, 2023 with family by her side at Waldo County General Hospital. She grew up in Searsport and worked at Lights Restaurant at a young age, she also worked at the sardine factory in Belfast for many years and was a caregiver for family members.

Marilyn will be missed for her kindness, generosity, her laughter, her love for music, and her walks to Searsport park to sit by the ocean.

She is predeceased by her parents, Cliffton and Sadie Ward; a son, Nelson Greenleaf; son in law Dennis O’Brien; three brothers, Cliffton Ward Jr, George Ward, Kenneth Ward; five sisters, Elizabeth Connor, Phillis Greenleaf, Ethel Greenleaf, Marie Curtis, and Theresa Connor.

Marilyn is survived by siblings Hazel Harvey and friend Larry Orcutt of Frankfort, Douglas Ward, and wife Kathy of Searsport; children Debbie Patten and partner Bob Peavey of Belmont, Julie O’Brien of Searsport, Sarah Pinkham and partner Sonny Hopkins of Brewer, Regina Carlson of Skowhegan; grandchildren Nicole Pearse and partner Aaron Cunningham, Shanan Pearse and partner Chris Moody, Cheyenne Talgo and partner Tyler Spofford, Mariah O’Brien and partner Kody Grant, Dylan O’Brien and partner Cassidy Tucker, and Anthony and Haleigh Pinkham; great grandchildren Kaydee Pearse, Alyssa Dodge, Gracee Cayouette, Lilee Carmichael, Nora Cunningham, Jenna, and Addison Spofford; great-great grandchildren Addy Talgo, Blake Grant, several nieces, and nephews.

We would like to thank Waldo County General Hospital for the great care that our mother received during her stay and Nicole Pearse for her generous donation.

There will be a celebration of life on March 25, 2023, from 2 - 4 p.m., at the Prospect Community Center on Route 1 with an ice cream social.
